Stronger Leadership for All of Savannah.

A Welcome from Ellis Cook:
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
For the past sixteen years, I have had the privilege of serving you, the citizens of Savannah on city council. I am proud of the many accomplishments we have achieved during this time.
These accomplishments include the new Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport, two new downtown parking garages, three new state of the art fire stations, several new community centers, a new Savannah Entrepreneurial Center, an expanded water supply system and expanded landfill system, a greatly improved Grayson Stadium (home of our minor league affiliate Savannah Sand Gnats), drainage improvements throughout the city, numerous road improvements, a combined City/County police force, the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center, and plans for a new civic arena and police headquarters. All this and more has been accomplished without raising your city property taxes. In fact, the city millage has been lowered from a high 17.46 mills in 1992 to 12.5 mills this year.
I have decided to run citywide for the Alderman at Large - Post 2 seat because I feel we need stronger leadership on city council. I feel that with my experience, I can provide that leadership. Our city faces many new challenges, from improving public safety, to replacing our aging infrastructure, to expanding our current recycling program and increasing lighting throughout the city.
I ask you to join me today to help make these and other much-needed changes happen. I would be honored to continue to serve as your City Alderman, and I ask for your vote on November 6, 2007. It is my hope that we can continue to work together to make Savannah an even better place to live for all of its citizens.
